Select SOS function settings
You can choose your own settings for the SOS function on your Apple Watch so, eg., a message is sent to your emergency contacts about your location when the SOS function is activated.
List view
Find "SOS"
Tap the Digital Crown.
Tap the settings icon.
Tap SOS.
Turn emergency call shortcut on or off
Tap Hold Side Button.
Tap the indicator next to "Hold Side Button" to turn the function on or off.
Tap arrow left.
Set emergency contacts and info
Tap Medical ID.
Tap Edit Medical ID.
Tap Add Emergency Contact and follow the instructions on the screen to key in your emergency info and emergency contacts.
If you've added emergency contacts, they will automatically receive a message with your location if an emergency call is made from your Apple Watch. If you add your emergency info, it will be displayed on the Apple Watch lock screen.
Return to the home screen
Tap the Digital Crown several times to return to the home screen.
Tap the Digital Crown.
Tap the settings icon.
Tap SOS.
Tap Hold Side Button.
Tap the indicator next to "Hold Side Button" to turn the function on or off.
Tap arrow left.
Tap Medical ID.
Tap Edit Medical ID.
Tap Add Emergency Contact and follow the instructions on the screen to key in your emergency info and emergency contacts.

Tap the Digital Crown several times to return to the home screen.
