How to

Using Google Maps on my mobile phone

Want to use Google Maps? It's easy, but you need to set up your mobile phone for internet and turn on GPS before you can use this function.

1. Find "Google Maps"

Tap Google Maps.

2. Use Google Maps

The following steps describe how you:
Find a destination
Use zoom
Save a destination as a favourite
Plan a route to a destination
Start GPS navigation
Exit GPS navigation

3. Find destination

Tap Search.
Key in the required destination.
Results matching what you key in are displayed.

You can also key in contacts from the address book.

Tap the required destination.

4. Use zoom

Drag two fingers together or apart to zoom in or out.

5. Save favourite destination

Tap the destination at the bottom of the display.

Remember, you need a Google account. If you don't have a Google account, you can create one on www.google.com.

Tap the star until the destination has been saved as a favourite.

6. Plan route to destination

Tap the travel information.

You can choose to avoid certain road types.
Tap Route options.
Follow the instructions on the display to select settings for route planning.

Tap the required mode of transportation.

7. Start GPS navigation

Tap Start.
The navigation window with information about your route is displayed.

The travel information at the bottom of the display shows your travel time, estimated time of arrival and distance to destination.
Follow the verbal instructions or the instructions on the display to go to the selected destination.

8. End navigation

Tap the end icon.

9. Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.

Tap Google Maps.
