Turning use of PIN on or off
The PIN is used to protect your SIM from unauthorised use. When the function is turned on, the PIN needs to be keyed in every time the router is used in order to access your SIM.
List view
1. Turn on your router
Tap On/Off to turn on your router.
2. Establish connection to Wi-Fi Hotspot
Do the following in Mac OS X:
Click the Wi-Fi icon.
Click the Wi-Fi icon.
Click the name of your Wi-Fi Hotspot.
You can see the name and password for your Wi-Fi hotspot on the back of your router.
Key in the password for your Wi-Fi Hotspot and click Join.
A connection to your Wi-Fi Hotspot is established.

3. Establish a connection to the router web interface
Open a browser.
Key in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and tap Enter.
Highlight the field next to "User name" and key in admin

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.

Highlight the field next to "Password" and key in admin
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.

Click Login.

If you're asked to key in your PIN:
Highlight the field next to "PIN" and key in your PIN (default is 0000).

Click Submit.

4. Find "PIN Management"
Click Internet.
Click PIN Management.
5. Turn use of PIN on or off
To turn on use of PIN:
Highlight "Enable" next to "PIN verification".
Highlight "Enable" next to "PIN verification".
To turn off use of PIN:
Highlight "Disable" next to "PIN verification".
Highlight "Disable" next to "PIN verification".
Highlight the field next to "Enter PIN" and key in your PIN (default is 0000).
Click Submit.
6. Exit
Click Logout.
Click OK to confirm.
