How to

Turn on Crash Detection

You can set your Apple Watch to automatically make an emergency call when your Apple Watch detects that you've been in a severe car crash or have suffered a serious fall.


List view

Find "SOS"

Tap the Digital Crown.
Tap the settings icon.
Tap SOS.

Turn on detection of serious fall

Tap Fall Detection.
Tap the indicator next to "Fall Detection" to turn on the function.
If you would like the function to be turned on all the time, tap Always on.
If you would like the function to be turned on during active training only, tap Only on during workouts.
Tap arrow left.

Turn on Crash Detection

Tap Call After Serious Crash.
Tap the indicator next to "Call After Serious Crash" to turn on the function.
Tap arrow left.

Set emergency contacts and info

Tap Medical ID.
Tap Edit Medical ID.
Tap Add Emergency Contact and follow the instructions on the screen to key in your emergency info and emergency contacts.
If you've added emergency contacts, they will automatically be notified if you've been in a severe car crash or have suffered a serious fall. If you add your emergency info, it will be displayed on the Apple Watch lock screen.

Return to the home screen

Tap the Digital Crown twice to return to the home screen.
