I can't make voice calls

If you have problems making voice calls, there may be several causes of the problem.

When flight mode is turned on, all wireless Apple Watch connections are turned off, including the mobile network connection.

Solution: Turn flight mode on or off

If your Apple Watch is overloaded, you won't be able to make any calls. It may help restarting it.

Solution: Restart your Apple Watch

The network coverage may differ from area to area. In certain areas it may so low it's not possible to make calls.

Solution: Try making a call later when you're in an area with better network coverage. View our network coverage map.

If there's a general problem making phone calls in a certain area, it may be be due to a temporary network error.

Solution: Try making a call later or when you're in another area.

If you're having problems calling a specific number, the error might be at the receiving end.

Solution: Try making a call to another number.

If you try to make calls to or from foreign countries, roaming needs to be activated in your rate plan.

Solution: Call 1509 from Australia or +61 2 8082 5678 when abroad. If you're already abroad, you need to use another mobile phone.

You'll be notified if your number has been suspended when you try to make a call.

Solution: Contact customer services to have your number reactivated.
