Turning my device PIN on or off
If you want to protect your SIM against unauthorised use, you need to turn on your PIN protection. Once done, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on your device.
Please note: your PIN doesn't prevent others from accessing the contents of your device (such as pictures and messages). You can prevent this by turning on the lock code.

1. Find "SIM PIN"
Tap Settings.
Tap Mobile Data.
Tap SIM PIN.
2. Turn use of PIN on or off
Tap the indicator next to SIM PIN.
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.

Key in your PIN (default is 0000) and tap Done.

3. Exit
Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
