Setting up my mobile phone for Exchange email

Want to set up your mobile phone for Exchange email? It's easy, but remember you need to set up your mobile phone for internet before you can use this function.


List view

1. Find "Email"

Tap Apps.
Tap Email.

2. Enter email address

Key in your email address.
If an email account has been created already, do the following instead:
Tap MORE.
Tap Settings.
Tap Add account.
Key in your email address.

3. Enter password

Tap Password and key in the password.
Tap MANUAL SETUP.

4. Select account type

Tap MICROSOFT EXCHANGE ACTIVESYNC.

5. Enter domain and username

Tap the field below "Domain\user name" and key in the domain and username separated by a "\".

6. Enter server address

Tap the field below "Exchange server" and key in the server address.

7. Turn SSL encryption on or off

Tap Use secure connection (SSL) to turn the function on or off.

8. Turn client certificate on or off

Tap Use client certificate to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on the function:
Tap CLIENT CERTIFICATE and follow the instructions on the display to install the required certificate.
Tap NEXT.

9. Enter email account name

Tap MORE.
Tap Settings.
Tap the name of the email account you've just set up.
Tap Account name.
Key in the required name of the email account and tap OK.

10. Select settings for retrieval of new email

Tap Sync schedule.
Tap Set sync schedule.
Tap Auto (when received), Manual or the required period.
Tap the required days below "Peak days".
Tap the fields below "Peak time" and follow the instructions on the display to set the required times.
Tap the Return key.

11. Select period for synchronisation of email

Tap Period to sync Email.
Tap the required setting.

12. Select email retrieval size

Tap Limit retrieval size.
Tap the required setting.

13. Select period for synchronisation of calendar

Tap Period to sync Calendar.
Tap the required setting.

14. Select data types for synchronisation

Tap the following data types to turn synchronisation on or off:
Sync Contacts
Sync Calendar
Sync Task
Sync Messages
Tap the Return key twice.

15. Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
