Selecting settings for automatic connection

You can select if you want to establish a connection to the internet automatically when your router is turned on.


List view

1. Turn on your router

Tap and hold On/Off.

2. Establish connection to Wi-Fi Hotspot

Do the following in Mac OS X:
Click the Wi-Fi icon.
Click the name of your Wi-Fi Hotspot.
You can see the name and password for your Wi-Fi hotspot on the inside of the back cover.
Key in the password for your Wi-Fi Hotspot and click Join.
A connection to your Wi-Fi Hotspot is established.

3. Establish a connection to the router web interface

Open a browser.
Key in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and tap Enter.

If you're asked to key in your PIN:
Highlight the field next to "PIN code" and key in your PIN (default is 0000).
Click Apply.
Click Log In.
Highlight the field below "User name" and key in admin
Highlight the field below "Password" and key in admin
Click Log In.

4. Find "Connection Settings"

Click Connection Settings.

5. Choose option

Choose one of the following options:
Turn automatic connection on or off, go to 5a.
Turn automatic connection when roaming on or off, go to 5b.

6. 5a - Turn automatic connection on or off

Click the drop down list next to "Connection Mode".
Highlight Auto or Manual.

7. 5b - Turn automatic automatic connection when roaming on or off

Click the box next to "Enable even when roaming" to turn the function on or off.
This setting is only available if you turned on automatic connection in step 5a.
Click Apply.

Click OK to confirm.
This setting is only available if you turned on automatic connection in step 5a.

8. Exit

Click Log Out.
Click OK to confirm.
