Installing my modem
Your modem needs to be installed before it can be used to establish a connection to the internet. Remember, you need an Optus SIM.

1. Insert your SIM
Turn the back of your modem towards you.
Slide the back cover downwards and remove it.
Slide the back cover downwards and remove it.
Place your SIM as illustrated next to the SIM holder and slide your SIM into place in the SIM holder.
Place the back cover on your modem with a small opening at the top and slide the back cover upwards.
2. Connect modem
Connect your modem to your computer's USB port.
3. Start the installation application for the modem
Double-click Optus Mobile Broadband.
Click Continue.
Click Continue.
Click Agree.
4. End installation
Click Install.
Key in your username and password for you computer and click Install Software.
Your modem is installed.

Click Close.
5. Enter PIN
Key in your PIN and click OK.
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.

6. Select rate plan type
Highlight one of the following options:
Optus Prepaid
Optus Prepaid
Optus Postpaid
Optus Business
Click OK.
