How to
Turn use of PIN on or off
The PIN protects your SIM from unauthorised use if your router should get stolen. If use of PIN is turned on, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on your router. Remember, you need to establish a connection to the router web interface.
List view
Find "SIM Security"
Click Settings.
Click NETWORK.
Click SIM Security.
Turn off use of PIN
Click Disable.
Click the field next to "SIM PIN" and key in your PIN. The default PIN is 0000.
If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service. Please note: If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.
Click Submit.
Turn on use of PIN
Click Activate.
Click the field next to "SIM PIN" and key in your PIN. The default PIN is 0000.
