Use Touch ID
You can set your mobile phone to use your fingerprint as phone lock code or to authorise iTunes or App Store purchases. To use Touch ID, you need to turn on the phone lock code.
List view
Find "Touch ID & Passcode"
Tap Settings.
Tap Touch ID & Passcode.
Add fingerprint
Tap Add a Fingerprint... and follow the instructions on the screen to add your fingerprint.
Tap Continue. If you haven't previously selected a phone lock code, key in a code of your own choice twice.
Select Touch ID settings
Tap the indicator next to "iPhone Unlock" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on the function, you can use your fingerprint to turn off the phone lock code.
Tap the indicator next to "Apple Pay" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on the function, you can use your fingerprint to authorise Apple Pay purchases.
Tap the indicator next to "iTunes & App Store" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on the function, you can use your fingerprint to authorise iTunes and App Store purchases.
Return to the home screen
Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
