How to

Making a video call on my device (FaceTime)

Want to make a video call to another device which supports FaceTime? The video call can be made using either the mobile network or a Wi-Fi network. Follow these easy instructions.

1. Find "FaceTime"

Tap Settings.
Tap FaceTime.

2. Log on

If it's the first time you make a video call, you need to log on.
Remember, you need an Apple ID before you can log on. If you don't have an Apple ID, you can create one at www.apple.com

3. Turn on FaceTime

Tap the indicator next to FaceTime to turn on the function.
Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.

4. Make a video call

Tap FaceTime.
Remember, you need to establish a connection to a Wi-Fi network before you can make a video call using a Wi-Fi network.
Remember, you need to activate data connections before you can make a video call using the mobile network.
Tap the required contact.
The contact details are displayed.
Remember, you need to establish a connection to a Wi-Fi network before you can make a video call using a Wi-Fi network.

Tap the required number or the required email address.

5. Select option

When you have an active video call, you can select the following options:
Mute or unmute the microphone, go to 5a.
Change camera, go to 5b.

6. 5a - Mute or unmute the microphone

Tap the microphone icon.
Depending on the current setting, the microphone is muted or unmuted.

7. 5b - Change camera

Tap the camera icon.
Depending on the current setting the interior or the exterior camera is turned on.

8. End the call

Tap End to end the call.

9. Exit

Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
