Activate Apple ID on tablet
An Apple ID gives you access to several functions on your tablet such as iCloud, App Store and iTunes. Before you can activate an Apple ID on your tablet you need to set up your tablet for internet.
List view
Find "Sign in to your iPad"
Tap Settings.
Tap Sign in to your iPad.
Activate Apple ID
If you don't have an Apple ID, tap Don't have an Apple ID or forgot it? and follow the instructions on the screen to create an Apple ID.
Tap the field next to "Apple ID" and key in the username for your Apple ID.
Tap Next.
Tap the field next to "Password" and key in the password for your Apple ID.
Tap Next.
Return to the home screen
Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
Tap Settings.
Tap Sign in to your iPad.
If you don't have an Apple ID, tap Don't have an Apple ID or forgot it? and follow the instructions on the screen to create an Apple ID.
Tap the field next to "Apple ID" and key in the username for your Apple ID.
Tap Next.
Tap the field next to "Password" and key in the password for your Apple ID.
Tap Next.
Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
