Setting up my mobile phone for Exchange email
Want to set up your mobile phone for Exchange email? It's easy, but remember you need to set up your mobile phone for internet before you can use this function.
List view
1. Find "Email"
Tap the menu icon.
Tap Email.
2. Create new email account
Tap Exchange ActiveSync.
If an email account has been created already, do the following instead:
Tap the menu icon.
Tap Settings.
Tap Add account.
Tap Exchange ActiveSync.
Tap the menu icon.
Tap Settings.
Tap Add account.
Tap Exchange ActiveSync.
3. Enter email address
Key in your email address.
4. Enter password
Tap Password and key in the password.
Tap Manual setup.
5. Enter domain name and username
Key in the domain name and username separated by a "\".
6. Enter server address
Tap the field below "Server" and key in the server address.
7. Turn SSL encryption on or off
Tap Use secure connection (SSL) to turn the function on or off.
8. Turn client certificate on or off
Tap Use client certificate to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on the function:
Tap Client certificate and follow the instructions on the display to install the required certificate.
Tap Client certificate and follow the instructions on the display to install the required certificate.
Tap Next.
9. Select synchronisation setting
Tap the drop down list below "Inbox check frequency".
Tap Automatic (Push), Manual or the required interval.
10. Select period for synchronisation of email
Tap the drop down list below "Days to sync".
Tap the required setting.
11. Turn email notification on or off
Tap Notify me when email arrives to turn the function on or off.
12. Select data types for synchronisation
Tap the following data types to turn synchronisation on or off:
Sync contacts from this account
Sync contacts from this account
Sync calendar from this account
Sync email from this account
Tap Next.
13. Enter account name
Key in the required name.
14. Finish setup
Tap Next.
15. Return to the home screen
Tap the home icon to return to the home screen.
