Choosing GPS settings on my mobile phone

Want to select GPS settings? Follow these easy instructions.

1. Find "Location services"

Tap Apps.
Tap Settings.
Tap Location services.

2. Choose option

Choose one of the following options:
Turn wireless networks on or off, go to 2a.
Turn satellite-based GPS on or off, go to 2b.
Turn sensor-based GPS on or off , go to 2c.

3. 2a - Turn wireless networks on or off

Tap Use wireless networks to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on wireless networks, your mobile phone can find your approximate position using the network. This is useful if you don't have a GPS satellite fix.
When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

4. 2b - Turn satellite-based GPS on or off

Tap Use GPS satellites to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on satellite-based GPS, your mobile phone can find your exact position. Satellite-based GPS requires a clear view of the sky.
When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

5. 2c - Turn sensor-based GPS on or off

Tap Use sensor aiding to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on sensor-based GPS, your mobile phone will find your exact position more easily when you're in area with a weak GPS signal, eg. when indoors or in urban agglomeration. Sensor-based GPS is most effective if you hold your mobile phone in the direction of travel. The function is only available if you turned on satellite-based GPS in step 2b.

6. Exit

Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
