How to

Changing my mobile phone PIN

Want to change your PIN? It's easy, but you'll need to turn on use of PIN before you can change your PIN.


List view

1. Find "Change SIM PIN"

Tap Apps.
Tap Settings.
Tap Security.
Tap Set up SIM card lock.
Tap Change SIM PIN.

2. Change PIN

Key in your current PIN (default is 0000) and tap OK.
If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.
Key in a new four-digit PIN and tap OK.
If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.

Key in the new PIN again and tap OK.

3. Exit

Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
