Setting up my mobile phone for Smart Safe
Want to set up your mobile phone for Smart Safe? It's easy, but first you need to set up your mobile phone for internet and register for Optus Smart Safe before you can set up your mobile phone for Optus Smart Safe.

1. Add your mobile phone
Click the field next to Device name and key in a name for your mobile phone.
Click the field next to Phone number and key in +61 followed by your phone number.
For example:
+61 123456789
Click Submit.
You will receive two SMS. One SMS contains a download link to Optus Smart Safe.

2. Find "Applications"
Tap Applications.
Tap Settings.
Tap Applications.
3. Allow installation of applications from other sources than Android Market
Tap Unknown sources to turn on the function.
When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.
Tap OK.
Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
4. Open SMS containing download link
Tap Messaging.
Tap the required sender.
Tap the SMS containing the download link.
Tap the download link.
5. Download Optus Smart Safe
If required, follow the instructions on the display to log on to Optus Smart Safe.
Tap Accept & Install.
Optus Smart Safe is downloaded.
Tap Accept & Install.
Optus Smart Safe is downloaded.
6. Install Optus Smart Safe
Tap the Android icon.
Tap OK.
Tap Install.
7. Select content to back up
Tap Open.
Tap Continue.
Tap I agree.
Tap Ok.
Tap the required content category.
When the box next to a content category is ticked (V), it's selected.
Repeat this procedure until the required content categories have been selected.

Tap Continue.
8. Exit
Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
