I can't use my tablet as a Wi-Fi Hotspot
This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.
Possible cause 2:
Your tablet hasn't been correctly set up as Wi-Fi Hotspot: Set up your tablet as a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

1. 1. Find "Configure"
Tap the time in the bottom right corner of the display.
Tap Settings.
Tap More settings.
Tap Tethering and portable hotspot.
Tap Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
Tap Configure.
2. 2. Select Wi-Fi Hotspot settings
Key in the required name for the Wi-Fi Hotspot.
Tap the drop down list below "Security".
Tap the drop down list below "Security".
If you don't want to password protect your Hotspot:
Tap Open.
Tap Open.
If you want to password protect your Hotspot:
Tap WPA PSK or WPA2 PSK.
Tap WPA PSK or WPA2 PSK.
Tap the field below "Password" and key in the required password.
Tap Save.
3. 3. Turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot
Tap the indicator next to "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" until the function is turned on.
If Wi-Fi is turned on:
Tap OK to confirm.
Tap OK to confirm.
4. 4. Establish connection
Do the following on the device which is to connect to your Wi-Fi Hotspot:
Turn on Wi-Fi.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select the network name you keyed in in step 2.
Key in the password you selected in step 2 and establish a connection to the Wi-Fi Hotspot.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.
Turn on Wi-Fi.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select the network name you keyed in in step 2.

5. 5. Return to the home screen
Tap the home icon to return to the home screen.
