Using Google Maps on my tablet

Want to use Google Maps? It's easy, but remember you need to set up your tablet for internet and turn on GPS before you can use this function.

List view

1. Find "Maps"

Tap the menu icon.

Tap Maps.

2. Use Google Maps

The following steps describe how you:
Find a destination
Use zoom
Save a destination as a favourite
Plan a route to a destination
Start GPS navigation
Exit GPS navigation

3. Find destination

Tap Search.
Key in the required destination.
Results matching what you key in are displayed.

Tap the required destination.

4. Use zoom

Drag two fingers together or apart to zoom in or out.

5. Save preferred location

Tap the address.

Tap the star until the function is turned on.

6. Plan route to destination

Tap the travel information.

Tap the required mode of transportation.

Tap View alternate routes.

Tap the required route.

7. Start GPS navigation

Tap Start.
The navigation window with information about your route is displayed.

Tap the travel information at the bottom of the display repeatedly to see your estimated time of arrival and distance to destination.
Follow the verbal instructions or the instructions on the display to go to the selected destination.

8. Exit GPS navigation

Tap the Return key the necessary number of times to exit GPS navigation.

9. Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
