1. Insert SIM
Orient the micro SIM to match the image near the slot.
Please note: your modem only supports micro SIMs. If you’re using a newly provided SIM, push out the middle sized SIM from the SIM holder.
Slide the micro SIM into the slot until you feel it click into place.
With a SIM inserted, you can use a mobile data connection in case you have problems with your broadband connection.
2. Connect internet connection
Turn the back of your modem towards you.
To use an NBN FTTP (Fibre to the Premises)/NBN HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) connection, you need to connect one end of the network cable (red connector) to the "WAN" port in your modem. Connect the other end of the network cable (red connector) to the "Uni-D" port in your NBN Connection Box.
To use an NBN FTTN (Fibre to the Node)/NBN FTTB (Fibre to the Basement) connection, you need to connect one end of the network cable (grey connector) to the "DSL" port in your modem and the other end directly to the wall phone socket.
Please note: you need to remove any existing cables or filters from the wall phone socket in order to use an NBN FTTN/NBN FTTB connection.
To use an NBN FTTC (Fibre to the Curb) connection, you need to connect one end of the network cable (red connector) to the "WAN" port in your modem. Connect the other end of the network cable (red connector) to the "Gateway" port in your NBN Connection Device.
3. Connect modem and computer
Connect the cable (yellow connector) to one of the "LAN" ports in your modem and to your computer.
You can also establish a wireless connection to your modem.
4. Turn on modem
Connect the power supply to the power plug and to a power point.
Tap On/Off to turn on your modem.
When there's a light in the "INTERNET" LED and in either the "DSL" LED or the "WAN" LED, depending on your connection, an internet connection has been established and your modem is ready for use.
Please note: it may take up to 30 minutes before your modem is fully synchronised and activated.
