Turning use of PIN on or off
If you want to protect your SIM against unauthorised use, you need to turn on use of PIN. Once done, the PIN needs to be keyed in when you turn on your router.
Tap and hold On/Off.
Do the following in Mac OS X:
Click the Wi-Fi icon.
You can see the name and password for your Wi-Fi Hotspot by tapping the WPS key twice in quick succession.
Click the name of your Wi-Fi Hotspot.
Key in the password for your Wi-Fi Hotspot and click Join.
A connection to your Wi-Fi Hotspot is established.


Open a browser.
Key in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and tap Enter.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.
If you're asked to key in your PIN:
Highlight the field next to "PIN code" and key in your PIN.

Click Apply.

Click Log In.

Highlight the field below "Password" and key in admin

Click Log In.

Click Settings.
Click Security.
Click PIN Management.
Click the drop down list next to "PIN operation".
Highlight Enable or Disable (depending on the current setting).
Highlight the field next to "PIN code" and key in your PIN.
Click Apply.
Click Log Out.
Click OK.
