Set up your mobile phone for MMS

An MMS is a message which can contain pictures and other media files and can be sent to other mobile phones. You can send and receive MMS as soon as you've inserted your SIM. If this isn't the case, you can set up your mobile phone for MMS manually.


List view

Find "Add an MMS APN"

Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Tap All settings.
Tap Network & wireless.
Tap Mobile & SIM.
Tap SIM settings.
Tap Add an MMS APN.

Enter APN

Tap the field below "APN" and key in mms.

Select authentication type

Tap the drop down list below "Type of sign-in info".
Tap PAP.

Enter IP address

Tap the field below "Proxy server" and key in 61.88.190.10.

Enter port number

Tap the field below "Proxy port" and key in 8070.

Enter MMS centre

Tap the field below "MMSC (URL)" and key in http://mmsc.optus.com.au:8002/.
http://mmsc.optus.com.au:8002/

Save data connection

Tap Save.
Tap OK.

Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
