Changing my mobile phone PIN

Want to change your PIN? It's easy, but you'll need to turn on use of PIN before you can change your PIN.


List view

1. Find "PIN code"

Tap the Menu key.
Scroll to Tools and tap the Navigation key.
Scroll to Settings and tap the Navigation key.
Scroll to General and tap the Navigation key.
Scroll to Security and tap the Navigation key.
Scroll to Phone and SIM card and tap the Navigation key.
Scroll to PIN code and tap the Navigation key.

2. Change PIN

Key in your current PIN (default is 0000) and tap the Navigation key.
If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.
Please note:
If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.
Key in a new four-digit PIN and tap the Navigation key.
If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.

If an incorrect PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM is blocked permanently. In this case, you'll need a new SIM from Optus.
Key in the new PIN again and tap the Navigation key.
If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting Customer Service.

3. Exit

Tap the Menu key to return to standby mode.
