I can't use my mobile phone as a Wi-Fi Hotspot

This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.

Possible cause 1:

The wrong password is entered on the device you want to connect from.: Enter the correct password.

1. 1. Find "Wi-Fi Hotspot"

Tap the menu icon.
Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot.

2. 2. Enter Wi-Fi Hotspot name

Tap OK.
Tap the field below "Router name (SSID)" and key in the required name for the Wi-Fi Hotspot.

3. 3. Select security settings

Tap the field below "Security".
If you don't want to password protect your Wi-Fi Hotspot:
Tap None.
If you want to password protect your Wi-Fi Hotspot:
Tap the required method of encryption.
Tap the field below "Password" and key in the required password.

4. 4. Turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot

Tap the field next to "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot" until the function is turned on.
Tap OK.

5. 5. Establish connection

Do the following on the device which is to connect to your Wi-Fi Hotspot:
Turn on Wi-Fi.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select the network name you keyed in in step 2.
Key in the password you selected in step 2 and establish a connection to the Wi-Fi Hotspot.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.

6. 6. Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
