My mobile phone doesn't play a message tone when I receive a message

This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.

Possible cause 1:

The message tone has been turned off: Choose message tone.

List view

1. 1. Find "Notifications"

Tap the menu icon.

Tap Messages.

Tap Menu.

Tap Settings.

Tap Notifications.

2. 2. Turn on notifications

Tap Received notification to turn on the function.

When the field next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

3. 3. Turn on message tone

Tap Play notification sound to turn on the function.

When the field next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

4. 4. Choose message tone

Tap Notification sound.

Tap the different message tones to listen to them.

Once you've found a message tone you like, tap Apply.

5. 5. Exit

Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
