Selecting GPS settings on my mobile phone
Want to select GPS settings? Follow these easy instructions.
List view
1. Find "Location"
Tap the menu icon.
Tap Settings.
Tap Location.
2. Choose option
Choose one of the following options:
Turn network-based GPS on or off, go to 2a.
Turn satellite-based GPS on or off, go to 2b.
Turn network-based GPS on or off, go to 2a.
Turn satellite-based GPS on or off, go to 2b.
3. 2a - Turn network-based GPS on or off
Tap Google's location service to turn network-based GPS on or off.
If you turn on wireless networks, your mobile phone can find your approximate position using the network. This is useful if you don't have a GPS satellite fix.
When the field next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.

4. 2b - Turn satellite-based GPS on or off
Tap GPS satellites to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on satellite-based GPS, your mobile phone can find your exact position. Satellite-based GPS requires a clear view of the sky.

5. Exit
Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
