Using my mobile phone as Wi-Fi Hotspot
Want to let other mobile phones or computers establish an internet connection using your mobile phone as a Wi-Fi Hotspot? It's easy, but you need to set up your mobile phone for internet and turn off Wi-Fi before you can use this function.
List view
1. Find "Wi-Fi Hotspot"
Tap the menu icon.
Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot.
2. Enter Wi-Fi Hotspot name
Tap OK.
Tap the field below Router name (SSID) and key in the required Wi-Fi Hotspot name.
3. Select security settings
Tap the field below Security.
Tap None or the required method of encryption.
If you select a method of encryption:
Tap the field below Password and key in the required password.
Tap the field below Password and key in the required password.
4. Turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot
Tap the field next to Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot to turn on the function.
When the field next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is turned on.
Tap OK.
5. Establish connection
Turn on Wi-Fi on the other device.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select your mobile phone on the list.
Key in the required access code and establish a connection to your mobile phone.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select your mobile phone on the list.
Key in the required access code and establish a connection to your mobile phone.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.
6. Exit
Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
