My mobile phone uses a large amount of mobile data
This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.
Possible cause 3:
Automatic update of apps via mobile network is turned on: Turn off automatic update of apps via mobile network.

1. Find "Auto-update apps"
Slide your finger upwards on the screen.
Tap Play Store.
Tap the profile icon.
Tap Settings.
Tap Network preferences.
Tap Auto-update apps.
2. Turn automatic update of apps on or off
To turn on automatic update of apps using mobile network, tap Update all apps over Wi-Fi or mobile data.
If you turn on automatic update of apps via mobile network, your apps are automatically updated via the mobile network when no Wi-Fi networks are within range.
To turn on limited update of apps using mobile network, tap Update with limited amount of mobile data.
If you turn on limited update of apps via mobile network, your most used apps are automatically updated via the mobile network when no Wi-Fi networks are within range.
To turn on automatic update of apps using Wi-Fi, tap Update over Wi-Fi only.
To turn off automatic update of apps, tap Don't auto-update apps.
3. Return to the home screen
Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
