How to

Choosing network mode for my mobile phone

You can select which network modes (4G, 3G and/or GSM) your mobile phone can use. Your choice determines the data speeds you can achieve.


List view

1. Find "Mobile Network"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your mobile phone.
Press Settings.
Tap Network Connections.
Tap Mobile Network.

2. Select network mode

Tap the drop down list below Network Mode.
3G (UMTS) or 4G (LTE) enables you to achieve higher data speeds than when using 2G (GSM).
If you select 3G, your mobile phone can only connect to 3G networks.
If you select 2G, you can't achieve high data speeds.
If you select 3G & 2G, your mobile phone automatically switches between the two network modes provided you're within range of a 3G network.
If you select 4G & 3G & 2G, your mobile phone automatically switches between the two network modes provided you're within range of a 3G or 4G network.
Tap 3G, 2G, 3G & 2G or 4G & 3G & 2G.

3. Exit

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to standby mode.
