How to

Turning use of phone lock code on my mobile phone on or off

Please note: the phone lock code doesn't prevent others from accessing the contents of your mobile phone (such as pictures and messages). When use of phone lock code is turned on, it needs to be keyed in every time you turn on your mobile phone. Follow these instructions to turn use of phone lock code on or off.

1. Find "Device Password"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your mobile phone.
Tap Settings.
Tap Security and Privacy.
Tap Device Password.

2. Choose option

Choose one of the following options:
Turn on use of phone lock code, go to 2a.
Turn off use of phone lock code, go to 2b.

3. 2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Tap the indicator next to Device Password to turn on the function.
Key in the required phone lock code.
Tap Confirm password and key in the phone lock code.
Tap OK.

4. 2b - Turn off use of phone lock code

Tap the indicator next to Device Password to turn off the function.
Key in the phone lock code and tap OK.

5. Exit

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your mobile phone to return to standby mode.
