How to

Using tethering on my mobile phone

Want to use your mobile phone to establish an internet connection from a laptop or desktop? It's called tethering. It's easy, but you need to set up your mobile phone for internet and install BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer before you can use this function. You can download this program from www.blackberry.com

1. Connect mobile phone and computer

Connect the data cable to the phone socket and to your computer's USB port.
Tap Sync Media.

2. Set up your computer for tethering

Start BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer.
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.
Select Mobile Internet.
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.
Select Configure connection ....
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.
Select Add custom profile ....
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.
Click the field next to Profile Name and key in Optus Yes Internet
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.
Click the field next to Access point.
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.
Key in yesinternet and select OK.
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.
Select OK.
You only need to set up your computer for tethering the first time you use the function.

3. Use tethering

Select Connect.
An internet connection from the computer via your mobile phone is established.
