My mobile phone doesn't play a message tone when I receive a message

This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.

Possible cause 1:

The message tone has been turned off: Choose message tone.

List view

1. 1. Find "Text Messages"

Slide your finger downwards starting from the top edge of the display.
Tap Notifications.
Tap Applications.
Tap Text Messages.

2. 2. Turn on message tone

Tap the indicator next to "Sound" until the function is turned on.

3. 3. Select message tone

Tap Tone.
If you want to use one of your mobile phone's default message tones:
Tap the required message tones to listen to them.
If you want to use one of your own message tones:
Tap Browse Music....
Go to the required folder.
Tap the different ringtones to listen to them.
Once you've found a message tone you like, tap the return icon.

4. 4. Return to the home screen

Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom edge of the display to return to the home screen.
