This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.

Possible cause 2:

The phone lock code is turned on: Key in your phone lock code. You can now turn off the phone lock code. If you have forgotten your phone lock code, contact the phone manufacturer for assistance.

1. 1. Find "Touch ID & Passcode"

Tap Settings.

Tap Touch ID & Passcode.

2. 2. Choose option

Choose one of the following options:
Turn on use of phone lock code, go to 2a.
Turn off use of phone lock code, go to 2b.

3. 3. 2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Tap Turn Passcode On.

If you added a fingerprint previously:
Tap Keep or Delete.

Key in a phone lock code of your own choice.
Key in the same phone lock code again.
Tap Require Passcode.

Tap Immediately or the required period.

Tap Back.

4. 4. 2b - Turn off use phone lock code

Tap Turn Passcode Off.
Key in the phone lock code.

5. 5. Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
