3. If you don't have an Apple ID, tap Don't have an Apple ID or forgot it? and follow the instructions on the screen to create an Apple ID.

4. Tap the field next to "Apple ID" and key in the username for your Apple ID.

8. Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.

Possible cause 2:

Your Apple ID hasn't been activated on your mobile phone

Solution:

Activate your Apple ID on your mobile phone.

Find "Sign in to your iPhone"

Tap Settings.

Tap Sign in to your iPhone.

Activate Apple ID

If you don't have an Apple ID, tap Don't have an Apple ID or forgot it? and follow the instructions on the screen to create an Apple ID.

Tap the field next to "Apple ID" and key in the username for your Apple ID.

Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
