Making a video call on my mobile phone (FaceTime)

Want to make a video call to another device which supports FaceTime? The video call can be made using either the mobile network or a Wi-Fi network. Follow these easy instructions.

1. Find "FaceTime"

Tap Settings.
Tap FaceTime.

2. Turn on FaceTime

Tap the indicator next to "FaceTime" until the function is turned on.
If you've not yet logged on with your Apple ID:
Tap Use your Apple ID for FaceTime.
Follow the instructions on the display to log on.
Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.

3. Make a video call

Tap Extras.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to turn on mobile data.
Tap Contacts.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to turn on mobile data.
Tap the required contact.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to turn on mobile data.
Tap FaceTime.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to turn on mobile data.

4. Mute or unmute the microphone

Tap the microphone icon to mute or unmute the microphone.

5. Change camera

Tap the camera icon to select the front or the back camera.

6. End call

Tap the end call icon.

7. Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
