I can't send emails from my mobile phone
This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes
to help you find a solution to your problem.
Set up your mobile phone for email.Detailed instructions.
1. Tap Settings.
2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
3. Tap Add Account....
4. Tap the required provider.
5. If your email provider isn't on the list:Tap Other.
6. Tap Add Mail Account.
7. Tap Name and key in the name you want to use as sender name in your emails.
8. Tap Address and key in your email address.
9. Tap Password and key in the password for your email account.
10. Tap Description and key in a name for your email account (such as Private or Work).
11. Tap Next.
12. If this image is displayed:Follow steps 8 through 10.
13. If this image is displayed:Follow steps 11 through 17.
14. Tap the indicator next to the required data type to turn synchronisation of the specific data types on or off.
15. Tap Save.
16. Tap Fetch New Data.
17. Tap the indicator next to Push to turn the function on or off.
18. If you turn off Push:
19. Tap the required period or Manually.
20. To select settings for a specific email account:Tap Advanced.
21. Tap the required email account.
22. Tap Fetch or Manual.
23. Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
24. Tap POP.
25. Tap Host Name below Incoming Mail Server.Key in the name or the IP address of your email provider's incoming server.If Optus is your email provider, key in mail.optusnet.com.au as your incoming server.
26. Tap User Name below Incoming Mail Server and key in the username for your email account.
27. Tap Host Name below Outgoing Mail Server and key in smtp.optusnet.com.au
28. Tap Save.
29. Tap Fetch New Data.
30. Tap the indicator next to Push to turn the function on or off.
31. If you turn off Push:
32. Tap the required period or Manually.
33. To select settings for a specific email account:Tap Advanced.
34. Tap the required email account.
35. Tap Fetch or Manual.
36. Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
Possible cause 2:
Your settings for sending emails are wrong

Tap Other.

Tap Advanced.
