My mobile phone uses a large amount of mobile data

This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.

Possible cause 1:

Mobile data usage for iCloud Drive is turned on: Turn off mobile data usage for iCloud Drive.

List view

1. Find "iCloud"

Tap Settings.
Tap your Apple ID.
Tap iCloud.

2. Synchronise files

Tap iCloud Drive.
Tap the indicator next to "Sync this iPhone" to turn file synchronisation on or off.
If you turn on file synchronisation, the files on your mobile phone, such as presentations, spreadsheets, PDF files and other kinds of documents will automatic be synchronised with other devices using Wi-Fi.
If you turn off the function, tap Turn Off Syncing iCloud Drive.
Tap arrow left.

3. Synchronise pictures

Tap Photos.
Tap the indicator next to "Sync this iPhone" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on the function, all new pictures on your mobile phone are synchronised with other devices via iCloud.
Tap arrow left.

4. Synchronise other phone contents

Tap Show All.
Tap the indicators next to the required data types to turn synchronisation of each data type on or off.

5. Return to the home screen

Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
