The screen brightness is set too high: Lower screen brightness.

1. Find "Display & Brightness"
Tap Settings.
Tap Display & Brightness.
2. Adjust screen brightness
Tap and drag the indicator below "BRIGHTNESS" right or left to select the required brightness level.
3. Turn automatic brightness on or off
Tap Accessibility.
Tap Display & Text Size.
Tap the indicator next to "Auto-Brightness" to turn automatic brightness on or off.
4. Return to the home screen
Slide your finger upwards starting from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.
