Updating the software on my device
Want to update the software on your device? It's easy, but you need to install iTunes on your computer before you can update the software on your device. You can download the program from www.itunes.com. It's also recommended you back up the device memory before you start.

Tap Settings.
Tap General.
Tap Software Update.
If a new software version is available, it's displayed.

3. 1b - Update the software using iTunes
Go to www.itunes.com on your computer.
Find the download section on the website to download iTunes.
Download and install iTunes on your computer.

Connect the data cable to the socket at the bottom of your device and to the computer's USB port.
Depending on your settings in iTunes, the program may suggest to update your device automatically.

To start the update manually:
Select iPad.
Select iPad.
Select Check for Update.
If a new software version is available, it's displayed.
