Apple iPad Air (iOS8)

Possible cause 3:

You haven't activated an Apple ID on your tablet: Activate an Apple ID on your tablet.

Tap Settings.

Tap iTunes & App Stores.

Tap Apple ID and key in the username for your Apple ID.

Tap Password and key in the password for your Apple ID.

Tap Sign In.

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
