I can't make video calls using FaceTime
This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.
Possible cause 1:
There are problems activating FaceTime: Turn off FaceTime and try turning it on again after some time.
List view
1. Find "FaceTime"
Tap Settings.
Tap FaceTime.
2. Turn on FaceTime
Tap the indicator next to "FaceTime" to turn on the function.
3. Return to the home screen
Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
4. Make a video call
Tap Contacts.
Tap the required contact.
Tap FaceTime.
5. Switch camera
Tap the camera icon to switch between the front and the back camera.
6. Mute or unmute microphone
Tap the microphone icon to turn the microphone on or off.
7. End call
Tap the end call icon.
Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
