How to
Setting up my tablet for iMessages
Want to select settings for iMessages? It's easy, but remember you need to activate your Apple ID before you can use this function.
List view
1. Find "Messages"
Tap Settings.
Tap Messages.
2. Turn iMessages on or off
If you're asked to log on, log on with your Apple ID.
Tap the indicator next to "iMessage" to turn the function on or off.
Tap the indicator next to "iMessage" to turn the function on or off.
3. Turn read reply on or off
Tap the indicator next to "Send Read Receipts" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on read reply, the sender is notified when you've read an iMessage.
4. Enter email address
Tap Send & Receive.
You can key in an email address which others can send iMessages to.
Tap Add Another Email....
You can key in an email address which others can send iMessages to.
Key in the required email address and tap return.
You can key in an email address which others can send iMessages to.
Tap Messages to go back to the settings.
You can key in an email address which others can send iMessages to.
5. Return to the home screen
Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
