Making a video call on my tablet (FaceTime)

Want to make a video call to another device which supports FaceTime? The video call can be made using either the mobile network or a Wi-Fi network. Follow these easy instructions.

1. Find "FaceTime"

Tap Settings.
Tap FaceTime.

2. Turn on FaceTime

If you're asked to log on, log on with your Apple ID.
Tap the indicator next to "FaceTime" until the function is turned on.
Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.

3. Make a video call

Tap FaceTime.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to activate data connections.
Tap Contacts.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to activate data connections.
Tap the required contact.
The contact details are displayed.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to activate data connections.
Tap the required number or the required email address.
If you want to make a video call using a Wi-Fi network, you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If you want to make a video call using the mobile network, you need to activate data connections.

4. Select option

When you have an active video call, you can select the following options:
Mute or unmute the microphone, go to 4a.
Change camera, go to 4b.
Apple iPad 4

5. 4a - Mute or unmute the microphone

Tap the microphone icon to mute or unmute the microphone.

6. 4b - Change camera

Tap the camera icon to select the front or the back camera.

7. End the call

Tap End to end the call.

8. Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
