I can't use my tablet as a Wi-Fi Hotspot

This troubleshooting guide will take you through a number of possible causes to help you find a solution to your problem.

Possible cause 2:

Your tablet hasn't been correctly set up as Wi-Fi Hotspot: Set up your tablet as a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

1. 1. Find "Personal Hotspot"

Tap Settings.
Tap Personal Hotspot.

2. 2. Turn on tethering

Tap the indicator next to Personal Hotspot to turn on tethering.

3. 3. Change password for Wi-Fi Hotspot

Tap Wi-Fi Password.
Key in the required access code and tap Done.

4. 4. Establish connection

Turn on Wi-Fi on the other device.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select your device on the list.
Key in the password for the Wi-Fi Hotspot and establish a connection to your device.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.
